Jess Jones, a 20-year-old student that is currently a waitress at D’Jais Bar & Grill, received the nastiest tip ever last week. Low tips (or no tips) are one thing, but what Jess saw on the bill was just ridiculous.
She was waiting on a party of eight at the restaurant / bar all night. Although it was a busy night, she kept their glasses full and was attentive as she could be. However…
When she went to pick up the $112.03 bill, she got a nasty surprise.
Instead of a tip, they just left “LOL.” (As in…”laughing out loud.”)

The customers had to wait an hour for food on a busy night, sure, but it wasn’t Jess’s fault. As she wisely told Ashbury Park (N.J.), “[Waiters] are mere messengers most of the time, and it’s wrong to shoot them, however bad the news.”
The moral of the story? Tip your server. Be courteous. And don’t be a big ole jerk.
