A Chinese couple refused to sell their home to make way for a road, so they built it around their house!

That pic on the right might be all you need to know about this fact. One couple was the only holdout in their former neighborhood that was almost completely demolished to make way for a major road.

The road connects the city of Wenling to a new railway station, and now features a house-shaped roundabout. The reason for the holdout? The owner says that the authorities haven't offered him as much as it cost him to built it.
