Reality TV can go to some pretty extreme lengths to provide entertainment for viewers. Some episodes can make for memorable moments in TV history. One such example was seen on the Belgian version of ‘Big Brother.’ The show itself has spread around the globe, and different versions can be seen in diverse countries.
Housemates were tasked with finding and collecting 100 tarantulas that had been released in the house. If you have a fear of spiders, that probably would have been your worst nightmare coming true.
As can be expected, many people do have a severe phobia of spiders. With extreme caution, the housemates went hunting through the house. They collected the tarantulas one by one. Once spotted, they were placed inside small plastic containers. The mission involved looking into all sorts of nooks and crannies, under furniture, in shoes, etc.
Little did they know, there were not 100 tarantulas but only 99. Apparently, the producers of the show wanted to toy around and test how real people would react under certain circumstances. How will people respond to living with fear? You can imagine the panicky feeling they must have felt being under the false impression that there was one on the loose somewhere.
