'This Is the End' may be a misleading title. The film's director has ideas for a sequel! Details here:

The 2013 hit comedy 'This Is the End' had a pretty star studded cast, from Seth Rogan and James Franco to Emma Watson and Jonah Hill. Since the films initial success, its director and co-writer Evan Goldberg has said that there's a "pretty good chance of a sequel."

On June 26, 2013, Goldberg announced an idea for a sequel which takes place at the premiere of the first film. He already had some ideas for the characters, saying "Seth's a cokehead in this version, Michael Cera is a calm dude with a boyfriend, Rihanna and The Backstreet Boys are back."

That's not the only idea Goldberg had. In another interview, he said "We have a lot of ideas: A heaven and hell, for example, and a Garden of Eden version where Danny is Adam."

Don't get your hopes up too much, though. One of the main challenges of a sequel, according to Goldberg, would be getting the same cast together. He considers the casting of the first film a stroke of luck and believes it would be hard to duplicate it. He has also said that Seth Rogan, star, co-writer and co-director of the film, has no interest in a sequel.
