Gun owners are some of the biggest supporters of wildlife conservation.

You might not expect gun owners to be animals' best friends. Many of them, after all, own guns for the purpose of hunting wildlife. However, due to the tax on their guns and ammunition, gun owners have raised a great deal of money for wildlife conservation.
Over the last 50 years, a 10% tax on guns and ammo has raised over $2 billion! And instead of that money going to the Treasury, it goes to the Secretary of the Interior to be distributed to the states for the purposes of wildlife conservation.
