Torquay, Australia is located in the Victoria township. It faces Bass Strait. Its population is just under 7,000. From this information, you could expect Torquay to be just another small, coastal town. It does have at least one claim to fame though.
Torquay is home to not one but two hugely successful companies - Rip Curl and Quiksilver. The town is actually famous for it's surf beaches. Some of the more notable ones are Jan Juc and Bells Beach on the town's south west side.
